Sustainable World Radio is by far one of the best things I’ve heard coming out of the radio lately. Most stuff I listen to is all about injustice, government, and all around bad news. Very interesting and necessary so as to be informed on what’s going on in the world. However this can get to be a little to much.

I came across Sustainable World Radio two days ago and have heard several of their archived programmes. This reminds me to look at solutions and not so much at problems. Botanical Medicine for Home Healthcare with Kami McBride is filled with great info on this herbalists view of life. Life Within the Soil with Doug Weatherbee is a very interesting account on what our soil is. City Repair with Mark Lakeman is all about reclaiming urban spaces in order to bring us closer together. All in all, this fully recharged this green man’s eco battery! Hope you give a listen and get something good out of it.

  1. My favorite thing about the sustainable movement is that not only does it provide longevity, it provides freedom.

As my friend said: If you can't feed, house, clothe, protect, and heal yourself, then you're at the mercy.

This movement is a cornucopia of awesome. It has everything for all kinds: dorks, nerds, and geeks. All can have their inclinations satisfied. :) It's all about the alchemy.

  2. horizonline: I heart Michael Pollan. The Botany of Desire is an interesting premise. Read The Omnivore's Dilemma by him. Loved it!
